Growing Instructions

Starting your seeds

You can start round zucchini seeds indoors using a heat mat to encourage germination. Once the seedlings sprout and grow a few sets of leaves, move them outdoors. Keep the soil moist and provide 6–8 hours of sunlight daily. When direct sowing round zucchini seeds, plant them about 1/2 inch deep in well-drained soil. Space them 18–24 inches apart to allow for healthy growth and plenty of room for the plants to spread.

Harvesting your seeds

When harvesting round zucchini, wait until they reach the desired size, typically around 4 to 6 inches in diameter. Use a sharp knife or garden shears to cut the zucchini from the vine, leaving a short stem attached. Harvest regularly to encourage continued production.
