Growing Instructions

Starting your seeds

You can start Sugar Baby watermelon seeds indoors using a heat mat to encourage germination. Once the seedlings sprout and grow a few sets of leaves, move them outdoors. Keep the soil moist and provide 6–8 hours of sunlight daily. When direct sowing Sugar Baby watermelon seeds, plant them about 1 inch deep in well-drained soil, spacing them 24–36 inches apart to give them plenty of space to grow.

Harvesting your seeds

When harvesting mini Sugar Baby watermelons, wait until they reach full maturity. Gently lift the watermelon and examine the spot where it attaches to the vine; if it's creamy yellow, it's likely ripe. Use a sharp knife or garden shears to cut the watermelon from the vine, leaving a short stem attached. Harvest regularly to ensure optimal sweetness and flavor.
