Growing Instructions
Starting your seeds
You can start eggplant seeds indoors using a heat mat to encourage germination. Once the seedlings develop a few sets of leaves, move them outdoors. Keep the soil moist and provide 6–8 hours of sunlight daily. When direct sowing eggplant seeds, plant them about 1/4 inch deep with a light cover of soil in well-drained, warm soil. Space them 18–36 inches apart to allow for proper growth and airflow.
Harvesting your seeds
When harvesting eggplants, choose fruits that are firm, glossy, and fully colored. Use a sharp knife or pruning shears to cut the eggplant from the stem, leaving a short portion of the stem attached. Harvest regularly to encourage continued production.
