Growing Instructions

Starting your seeds

You can start beet seeds indoors using a heat mat for better germination. Once the seedlings sprout and grow a few sets of leaves, move them outdoors. Keep the soil moist and provide 6–8 hours of sunlight daily. When direct sowing beet seeds, plant them about 1/2 inch deep in well-drained soil. Space them 12–24 inches apart to allow for proper root development and healthy growth.

Harvesting your seeds

When harvesting beets, gently loosen the soil around the base of the plants and carefully lift the roots from the ground, grabbing the leafs near the top. Rinse off excess soil and trim the tops, leaving about an inch of stem attached to the beet. Store beets in a cool, humid environment to maintain freshness.
