Garden Fresh Recipe
Spicy Garden-Fresh Bloody Mary
Ingredients
1 ½ cups fresh cherry tomatoes, blended
1 shot (1.5 oz) vodka
½ cup tomato juice
1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
1-2 fresh Tabasco peppers, finely chopped
¼ tsp Tabasco pepper-infused salt (see below)
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp smoked paprika
1 celery stalk (for garnish)
1 sprig fresh parsley (for garnish)
Optional add-on pickles
Ice cubes
Instructions
1. Make Tabasco Pepper-Infused Salt – Finely chop a dried Tabasco pepper and mix it with salt. Let it sit for at least 24 hours to absorb the heat.
2. In a blender, puree fresh cherry tomatoes and Tabasco peppers until smooth. Strain if you prefer a thinner texture.
3. In a shaker, combine blended mixture, tomato juice, vodka, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco pepper-infused salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Shake well.
4. Run a lemon wedge around the rim of your glass and dip it in more Tabasco pepper salt for an extra spicy kick.
5. Fill the glass with ice cubes, then pour in the Bloody Mary mixture.
6. Stir with a fresh celery stalk and top with a sprig of parsley, and optional pickle.
Extra Heat Option: Muddle a fresh Tabasco pepper at the bottom of the glass before pouring in the drink!
