Harvest

 Harvest romaine in the morning when the leaves are firm, and are at a preferable size

Option 1: Take an outer leaf, and pull down the leaf to snap off it off leave younger leaves so they can mature and continue growing in the center for another harvest

Option 2: Dig the entire plant out of the soil

Option 3: Cut the plant’s base 1 inch above the soil for a second harvest

Storage

 Thoroughly Wash and dry lettuce. Store lettuce in plastic bag for up to 10 days

Common problems

 Aphids, Root aphids, bolting, birds, lettuce mosaic virus, white mold, and slugs.

Tips

  1.  For continuous growth plant additional seeds every 2 week
  2. In warmer temperatures, you may need to provide partial shade to prevent leaves from burning.
